Lost 1.2 down to 260.2. Ride more drink more water
down 3 lbs to 273, now that i got my new wheelset i plan on riding a lot more, and plan on doing a 50 mile ride this weekend. :thumb:
whether or not i finish, just trying a 50 mile ride for the first time and the fact that i've lost 12 lbs so far, i'm feeling very motivated being able to do something i'd never think of doing just a few months ago.
cutting back on my calories is getting easier, i've noticed that i'm starting to eat healthier options without really thinking about it and i stop eating when i get that satisfied feeling, as opposed to that stuffed feeling...

Still sitting on 95kg. Hmmmm.
Been a bit ill last week, so have to get back on track this week. Will have to become Mr Brutal when it comes to the food discipline.
Had a good ride this AM and a mean circuit session tonight.
Plan for this week - 94kg. Multiple bike and gym sessions. Serious discipline on the food.

Gained a few more.. I really think that 400k totaly screwed me up with the few days off before to be rested and the recovery after along with the eating enough not to bonk 120 miles from nowhere. That along with getting off the meds I was on that kept out excess sodium/water. It is for the best anyhow endurance cycling where you want to take on sodium and taking pills to remove sodium and cause problems with sun exposure was always a bad idea, in my head anyways my old doctor didn't seem to care.
Should be interesting how much I'll gain for my 600k, if I try it :(
Keep swimming 2-3x a week.
Find a way to ride even though the next 4-5 days have a high chance of high wind and thunderstorms.
Avoid salt even more then I already do.

Monday is my official weigh in day. This morning I was 201, which again is one pound for the week, which is my target weight loss.
Since I am still on schedule I will not be making any adjustments to anything, that is keeping the sweets out, the 1/2 cup of ice cream a day in, the daily ride in, and keep to drinking the water.

Hoping to rejoin.
Dropped off the face of the earth, stopped diet and exercise (except for 60ish miles/week commuting) starting mid-November. Was 220 last week. Shed 2 pounds, shooting for 1.5 lbs/weel for 12 weeks. Current weight 218.2. Also, hoping to hit 6 miles run, 180 miles ridden this week.

I'm not sure what I did. I'm down to 300.5 again. The only thing I can think of is I'm riding more. I had to go to a conference last week, so I was sure I would really blow it. Oh, well, nothing like a pleasant surprise for starting the week. :thumb:

Sabotaged my mileage goals. Snapped a chain at speed. Ugh, oozing blood from an entire side of my body.
Hey all. I've been absent quite a number of weeks now. Life just kind of got in the way. Too many incidents to go into!
My update. Got down to 208.6 at one point. That's 21.4 lbs lost since I started riding again in November! For the last couple of weeks I've been steadily between that and 211. Satisfactory considering.
Maybe you all can help me confirm a suspicion about my lack of weight loss during this period? Diet overall has remained the same. The weather has been nice enough to go outside and ride. While my mileage is down a little, my heart rate monitor suggests I'm working harder out on the windy, chip and seal roads. My fat % on the scale has been inching downwards and I'm noticing some muscle tone in my legs.
Am I burning fat, as I was during the cold months inside on the trainer, but putting on muscle from the extra work out on the road? Will I eventually get back to more fat loss than muscle gain?
Just wondering. Not a physiologist just a computer nerd!
Keep turning the pedals.
Haven't posted for three weeks in shame, I went up 10lbs to 279. Need to get out and exercise.

I spoke to my doctor about just this yesterday. She said that it's important to measure key fat storage points with a tape measurer during exercise regimens as you will often be trading muscle for fat without weight loss. However, you may not be, thus the importance of the tape measurer.
Her emphasis was to expect 6+ months before you get significant body shape change from different workout regimens without significant diet change.
This is, obviously, a poor paraphrase.

244! Yea, I dropped those few pounds that I had put back on.
My goal is to keep it off now, and finally break 240 one of these days!

I lost 10 pounds but my body fat scale stayed steady. It was a while and a LOT of cycling before my body fat scale dropped by %. This is the more important stat. You may have to gain weight in order to vanquish it.

Down to 275 (Mar09) from 310 (Dec08) since I started riding the bike I got from a Secret Santa. I killed that cheap Huffy MB, breaking pedals, shifters, seats, flat tires, and me. I bought another used Walmart Next MB at the Jockey Lot (Flea Market) and have a total of ~600 miles since I started. I commute 4-35 miles a day and can catch the bus here. I bent the back wheel and now the rear hub is on it's last legs. The income tax check is scheduled to buy a new bike on April 10th. I'm considering a Specialized Sirrus or Globe. I'm still considered Obese, and have 50 pounds to lose before I'm just overweight. My son was diagnosed with ADD and when I found out it is hereditary, I went to the doctor for a prescription for a Vyvanse (an amphetimine). It's been a world of difference and I am much calmer, more energy and focused.

I'm 27, 6'3" and started at 326 last year. Weighed in at 262 yesterday :). 32 pounds to goal, and I just bought a new old bike for me this weekend. It was a Schwinn Le Tour that I've converted to a single speed. My goal for this week is to ride 3 days at least and hope I can get under 260 very soon. I put on a Large tee shirt yesterday at a clothing store and it just about fit! It's nice to be able to find clothes that fit in a regular store.

ok I just weighed myself and I lost way more than I was hoping for. Was hoping to drop from 293 to 290 but ended up dropping to 285. So its an 8lb loss for me this week.:thumb::thumb:

Weigh in at 215.8.
I think I'm a bit low on water though, so next week I'll have to scale back weight loss as I think this is deceptively good.

I'm not sure how I managed it with all the eating out and left over wedding cake, but I actually managed to lose 3.4 pounds over the last two weeks (missed last weeks weigh-in). And that is even with adding the (though minuscule) weight of the wedding ring.

I think I might know how a newly-wed might lose weight, but as a gentleman I couldn't possibly let out your little secret! :innocent:
Congrats!

@ MissBumble, Share your entree and get a large salad and vegatable on the side. Stay away from excess processed carbohydrates (white things like bread, potatoes & sugars)
