So I started my new training this week (started Monday) for my MS150 in Sept. I have tried to eat a good balanced diet (having trouble finding good solid advice)
I have been riding 2 hrs in Zone3 Monday-Thursday and 3 hrs on Friday in the same zone to shed some fat before I go into REAL training in a couple of weeks, but today, I am so hungry its unreal.
It's been ok up to Saturday but when I woke up this morning, I cant fill myself up. I dont want to overeat, but after eating, about 1hr later I'm hungry again....what's up?
How do you guys & gals stop yourself from stuffing your face? I know I'm shedding fat as my waistline is going down so I'm scared of putting it back on as I am determined to not just complete this ride but crush it.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
if you're hungry, eat. your body needs it. chances are your overtraining (which could be a good thing) has kept your heart rate and metabolism high for a day or so. i've had similar days. feed your body.

Why starve yourself? I don't care how much you eat - if you're training hard enough your body fat percentage and overall weight will drop into ideal territory pretty much by itself. Eat balanced, yes, but if you're training hard don't worry about counting calories. I only worried about calories once when I was doing lots of hard distance running, and that was to make sure I was getting enough to eat!

sometimes thirst disguises itself as hunger. as long as you are keeping up on your water then feed your face.

try eating low glycemic carbs like sweet potatoes and brown rice etc.. instead of potatoes and white rice...lower your blood sugar and reduce food cravings.

sounds like you are overtraining. what a lot of ppl dont understand is that when you work your body too hard, you will actually gain too much weight. it causes your body to lose way to many nutrients such as iron. that is why you find yourself ridiculously hungry. and your body will unfortunately suck up everything you eat like a vaccuum, and even worse it will try to hold onto it, causing you to feel sick and gain outrageus amounts of weight,
