L'equipe says he fell on the first stage of C & L and was holding his head in his hands and that he apparently broke his collarbone.

Confirmation from John Bruyneel: Lance has a clean collarbone fracture without complications. Should be a fast recovery.

Guess we never will see Lance in a Giro then?
