L'equipe says he fell on the first stage of C & L and was holding his head in his hands and that he apparently broke his collarbone.

Confirmation from John Bruyneel: Lance has a clean collarbone fracture without complications. Should be a fast recovery.

Apparently Armstrong doesn't feel very confident about his chances right now: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/03/24/sports/othersports/24cycling.html?hp
Not a fan, so I was kinda looking forward to seeing Armstrong as a domestique in Le Tour. Ah well... ;)

he's not the only cyclist out there, guys. O'Grady just broke his collar bone too (again, dammit), in a different race.
Guess we never will see Lance in a Giro then?
