Just finished putting on the rear wheel, and my rear Mavic Ellipse is making a noise that sounds like a tire rubbing against the frame, but the tire's clearance is good. Nothing I can see is rubbing against the frame, and the noise sounds like it's coming from the hub.

Also, I only hear it when the wheel is tightened down.


Any Ellipse owners help me out?

Coming from the hub you say, eh? Hmmmm.... maybe it's your hub?
Best get it checked.

Maybe the axle is rubbing on the dust cap

The bike shop I work at is closed today and tomorrow, and I really really want to ride. I think it's the dust cap, because I got new ones when I replaced the axle
