I'm looking for a new road bike to buy. I've been riding the same 80s bianchi for the last 6 years and i feel like its time to move to something a little newer. I'm looking to spend between $1000-1300 and i've narrowed it down to a list of a few bikes, and i'm hoping some people can provide some outside opinions or recommend another bike i havn't yet considered. Looking for a full ultegra (or equivelent) build. I'm not sure i'm sold either on the bonded carbon stays idea, i dont know if it will hold up to 5-10 years of use as would a full carbon, full alu, or full steel bike would. Weight is important, but im no gram counter. Im looking for a 56cm and i weigh about 160lbs.
Thanks,
-Brent
1) Raleigh Professional from GVHbikes.com - has a good build, nicely shaped steel, but a little heavier, priced nice at $1100

2) Cinelli Proxima from GVHbikes.com - lightweight alu, good looking frame, but a little on the higher end of my range at $1300, same build as the raleigh.

3) Leaderbikeusa.com - they have two road bikes 715r for $950, and the newer 735r for $1100. Bikes are probably tiawan made, probably good quality and they say the 735r is under 17lbs, pretty impressive, not bad for a $1100 bike, but i have heard bad talk about the Bontrager select wheelset.

4) Supergo Scattante 2003 CFR - $1249 hella good deal on a full carbon, not a fan of the shimano r540s. not sure about the off-brand fork either. Also could longevity of frame be an issue?

5) Tirreno Razzo 1000 - $1040 from Performancebike.com Nice spec, again R540 wheelset. Looks like a nice frame, not sure of the long term prospects of the carbon seatstays? (originally $1300, but there is a 20% off coupon floating around on the net) Again not sure of the fork.

6) Widsor Falkirk - Bikesdirect.com $1000- looks like a nice tiawan frame, ok build (rithey pro vs. ultegra issue) and is a triple, call me a purist, but i'd prefer a double, then again its only $1000

7) Motobecane Legacy Pro - Bikesdirect.com $1100 - 853 is some nice stuff, but also probably a little heavier. If i were going with steel i think i may take the raleigh before this one.
