Road Cycling - 2003 R600? Should I?

I have a chance to get an R600 (2003) new in the box for 850.00 (1,200 new), should I get it? It's a nice looking bike and I rode a 2004. The ride was nice...

It's got a fantastic frame and a very good component set. Cannondale's aren't typically discounted much and $850 seems very good. I'd do it if I were in the market.

They ar the stock Gipiemme Techno 4.24's. I've researched them and couldn't find anything bad at all. Nothing really good, but nothing bad. I'll eventually upgrade them anyway. The whole bike is 850 NIB.

Although the price is nothing to sneeze at consider that we are approaching the
end of the '04 model yr for practical purposes and bikes depreciate just like cars so
what they are asking is all they can realistically get. You have the advantage
of a cosmetically pristine bike whose component set is not likely to change soon
as it will take quite a while, if ever for the 10spd gruppos to get down to the
$1200 bike level. It is a good starter mid range bike. Steve

Buy it......it is a very efficient frame for that amount of money!

I used to sell them, that's a good buy!!!!

Cannondale philosophy = great frame with parts you'll upgrade eventually anyways!

I have a Cannondale R800 and absolutely love it! I'd buy it...it's a good deal
