Classic and Vintage Bicycles: What's it Worth? Appraisals and Inquiries - Campagnola 26.8 Aero seatpost_Nutz?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I saw the listing on CL and thought hmmm, that fits my '88 Schwinn but then saw the price of $220.
It's polished which to me means he might have done easy off first.
Is this price crazy?

Nuts. That's a Campagnolo Triomphe/Victory seatpost. $50 max - and usually less, these posts are generally the best value out there for Campag aero seatposts.
I'd be rather surprised if a genuine C-Record post brought that much unless NOS in box.

If you are looking for a good seatpost, check out eBay for a Suntour XC Pro, or Superbe if you want the shorter road version. The XC Pro has the best seat adjustment I've found, I think it is called micro adjust, you can literally move the nose up or down by fractions of a mm. I bought one as new for about $25. They are long ~ 300 mm, but light enough and nicely finished. If you don't like it that long you can always cut it shorter.
