Foo - Am I growing up?

I asked a girl out tonight. We're going on a date next week.

This will be the first time I've actually dated someone. It's been all about the one night stands and meaningless encounters up until now.

I have finally met someone that I really like and respect and want to spend time with and I think she feels the same.

The best part is that I feel no trepidation about starting this new part of my life. It feels great.

Anyway, that's all. Just thought I'd share this :)

No. You're just trying your hand at the concept of "having a relationship." It's a beautiful thing. I prefer it over the "meaningless encounters" approach that evolve into nothing after the first few dates or so.

Heck, I act more like a kid when I'm with my girlfriend (in body, not in mind), and only she can make me do that and enjoy it as much as I do! :)
