I like Foucault pendulums.

One of my customers, a biotech company, has one in their lobby, which I think is very cool.

The Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago has one in one of their stairwells. Once as a kid, I was walking up the stairs just at the moment that it broke! It fell down and hit the ground. Oops.

Foucault's discus? That doesn't make any sense. Unless the discus is tied to a rope, I guess.

When I was in college at USF (U. South Florida), there was a full Foucault pendulum in the physics building, 2 stories high.

These are about the best pictures I can find (aren't many out there). All you can really see is the moving ball at the bottom and the painted floor to show the patterns as it swings.

Anyone can build a Foucault Pendulum.

Anyone with enough money that is.
