I have a 2002 LeMond Alp d'Huez Reynolds 853 frame with Velocity Spartacus wheels and Shimano 105 components. The bike is in very nice condition. For the sake of curiosity, what would this bike be worth?

Less than 50% of MSRP only because thats what they depreciateto after 2 years taking into account dealer profit margin and Trek/Lemond selling leftovers on close out.
+1, perhaps 40% of new. Bikes depreciate fast, then level out eventually.

I assume 9-speed 105 front to rear?
Maybe $600-$650 if it's clean and looks new and barely ridden.
Do your market homework using Trek 2000SLR's to 2300SLR's and add a little.

If I were selling it, I'd go for a higher number, say around $800. My reasoning is, this isn't just another "me too" aluminum framed, 9 speed with a carbon fork. The Reynolds 853 frame is a real selling point. I'd push the nice ride obtained by the steel frame and try for a little more. It's always easy to lower the price later.

2 good points here. Perusing MSRP's it looks like 105 bikes are $1700 range. ebay complted listings are ~$780 for an '05 and $1000 for an '07.

I yield to their expertise. Both know their stuff better than I. I don't know Reynolds from Alcoa.
Now, if Lemond had ridden a Centurion....

Using this reasoning my Colnago should be worth more than I thought it was. The LeMond above with 9 (or 8) speed spacing is upgradable to 10+ speed so it comes down to the frame and what a potential buyer is looking for. Price the components and frameset separately, sometimes the partout makes sense.
To the OP, are you thinking of selling it or are you just curious about it's current value?

You selling? I am looking for an 853 Lemond... although why don't you scratch the hell out of it first as I'm a little broke right now.

sorry, missed this somehow. Colnago Master Light (before they added the "X" to the name).
FWIW. my Master Lite has a painted front fork. I have no idea what year the bike is, although the components are 2003 Ultegra (nine speed). I just have a hard time believing they were still using quill stems in 2003, so I am reluctant to call the bike a 2003.
Treebound: What year is your Colnago?
I can't imagine selling mine.

I'm not 100% sure. Possibly from the 90's. It was a bike dealer show display bike, then hung out at a small LBS for several years, then I got it from the LBS owner. Built up with a take-off group (8-speed Shimano 600 brifter setup) traded in from a racer he sponsored. I think I've had it close to 10 years now, maybe 8 or 9. It rides nice, but it was a basement queen all last year. I should ride it more.
