Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - messenger bag enhancement

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Here are a couple of JPEGS showing an embroidery I had done on the flap of my messenger bag. The first one is a close up of the embroidery. The second one is a full view of the same. I got the image from a decal from lofi customs which makes t-shirts with OLDSKOOL TRACK logos. I had it done at a local t-shirt printing shop that also does embroidery. They did a digital scan of the art work that I provided, and then converted it onto a program for their embroidery machine. The whole thing cost 30 bucks and could probably be done at home if somebody you know has one of the newer computerized sewing machines that accept digital data and can output from that. Not that it makes the bag any better but I have been using the bag more and more and thought I would like to personalize it.
Now I can bring along the kitchen sink in stylish comfort on rides.

I was thinking about doing the same thing to mine! How did you get the pic? Did you write low-fi and ask them if they could use it? I notice that you can't right-click save-as on their site...

I bought one of their t-shirts and they included the decal and some other decal stuff for free. The art work is in the public domain or at least so says oldskool track website. Any way, I am not doing it for commercial purposes so I don't think that matters. Even if it does, I would pay the artist if he contacts me.

I just went to their website and brought up the logo of OST and held down the button on my mouse and dragged the image to my desktop. Lo and behold there it was when I clicked on it. I run a mac so maybe that makes a difference. Try it.I will make an attachment and post it.

Seeing as how I no longer drink alcohol, I have vast amounts of money to spend on otherwise useless purchases. And, I don't wake up with a hang over. Being of Irish extraction, I gave 30 years of my early life over to the "Irish Curse". I think that is enough cultural attainment for one lifetime.

With a name like "jzawodny" it does not suprise me that you don't understand the meaning of the Irish curse. :)

That one on the Cinelli is a 100mm steel Nitto 65 degree drop and B125 steel drop bars. Tressoplast cloth tape and Velox bar plugs. Oh. and it's a basement known as the bat cave because of all the bicycles hanging from the ceiling, by my wife.

55 cm. I got it a couple of years ago from John Dacy at www.Buisnesscycles.com. Great guy to deal with and very fair on the price.

I've always wanted this, but I can't find anyone who'll make a big patch out of it... maybe I'll just do what FGH did and have someone sew it on...

I couldn't save that picture on my work windows machine either, but the dialogue box cracks me up. something like 'don't make us come over there and kick you in the nuts too'
I can't get it to come up on my mac at home.

The brand is courierware. They are a bunch of ex messengers out of Boston, who moved to the country and make some really neat stuff. Website is ://www.courierwareusa.com/index.shtml
They were very good to deal with online and shipped promptly and have various styles to choose from.
