Introductions - Hi.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Just got the link to the site from someone else, likely will lurk for the most part when I have time in the evening. Over 200 channels, nothing to watch, rather check out some forums. Been riding longer than most of you have been born, to put it in perspective, I'm a helmet advocate and had an original "Bell Biker" when it first sold. While I've belonged to bike clubs and have participated in lots of group rides (training and racing), I'm past that now. Have also done lots of touring (multi-week self-sustained trips) but am more into getting out on the road for a few hours at a more relaxed pace these days.

BC Don.

Trek Madone for the road and a hard tail Stumpjumper from 15 years ago with the lighest SunTour Pro shifters ever made - great commute bike. Plus a Custom built bike - Reynolds 531 DB tubing, silver soldered, local frame builder, custom wheels, all put together a LONG time ago. Set up for Long Distance Touring (toured France and Germany as well Western Canada).

Thanks for asking.

They all sound lovely! Any photos of your custom bike? Who was the builder?
