why is everybody think everyone is not as smart or smarter than themselves? is average average or is it ok to be bel low average? please share your thoghts on smarter people...

i think mr.pcad is above average smartness.

i also think that drpetes brain is as big as his heart.

I like hanging out with more intelligent people than me. The conversation is quite interesting. Especially when you get a dialog going.

Meh. I'm average. Very average.

I speak with unique authority on this subject. I was once quite smart, perhaps even brilliant. I wrote tons of complicated software that did amazing things few people could imagine much less understand. Perhaps I even invented the internet, I don't really recall. Many bicycle crashes, two adult children, and Management Training later, I'm now Quite Stupid.
I have these observations from my experience:
- Higher IQ = higher blood pressure
- Higher IQ = higher maintenance
- Higher IQ = less happiness
- Higher IQ = less fun
Fill a room with smart people, give them a problem, and they'll argue, form splinter groups, and arrive at conflicting solutions that amount to a big ball of snot.
Fill a room with stupid people, give them a problem, and they'll go out in the hall, snatch a smart person, extract a solution from the genius, toss them back out in the hall, and have a party.

I am really frigging smart, you know how I know? I looked it up in my gut, it has more nerve endings than anything else in the body.

I was put into gifted programs as a kid, once took a MENSA entrance exam and passed. Yet, because I am "uneducated" in a conventional sense...I get no respect. Go figure.

I was put into gifted programs as a kid, once took a MENSA entrance exam and passed.I was thrown into the gifted programs (and separate schools) as a kid, and I took the SAT in 7th or 8th grade and I think I got 1100-1200, which was considered great for my age. But I still feel stupid on a fairly regular basis as an adult. Meh to that, getting my hopes up.

This reminds me of my favorite Road Nazi line near the end of a fast race or ride:

Pcad: 'You know why you guys aren't as fast as you think you are?'

Road Nazi: 'Why's that ahole?'

Pcad: 'Because I'm still here, that's why.'

What you are talking about is scientifically described as "Herd Theory" and in abusing your body and mind through various means you actually kill off the slow brain cells just as predators take out the weak and injured.

I was reasonably intelligent but lack a lot of common sense. I've also tried to reduce the number of working brain cells through the process of connecting my noggin with cupboards, car bonnets, helicopters and other hard objects.

I guess I'm becoming more and more stupid as time goes by.:p I'll try and get all three working brain cells together and get back to you.
