Southern California - Any North County (Del Mar) Weekday Lunch Rides?

Just moved office to the Del Mar area and looking for a group to ride with at lunch several days a week. Usually like to ride 35-50 miles at a decent pace (20 mph when solo). Anyone know of existing rides, or if not, are you interested in starting one?

It is not quite Del Mar, but there is a ride that leaves the Performance Bike Shop on Sorrento Valley Road at noon on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I have ridden with them a few times and they are a good group and very serious cyclists.

I'd say they they are both about 20 miles. the Tuesday ride goes over to the coast, up Torrey Pines Rd and down to La Jolla Shores, up Calle de Oro/Prestwick and back to Sorrento Valley. The thursday ride goes up El Camino Real to San Dieguito Rd up to El Apajo and back. I was told that these were the regular routes (I have done each one once with the group) so this may not be exact. This may not be the mileage that you are looking for but I will assure you that you will get a workout. They are mostly current or ex-racers and take this ride very seriously (translation they crushed my puny soul!)

I've been passed by some of this group going up Torrey Pines several times, and also seen them gathering when I've ridden past the bike shop. One of these days I may try and join them, although I don't know if I can keep up the pace. Since I work on Torrey Pines it could be a convenient route for me.
