Are there any alternatives to using a Record 10 speed BB with Record cranks, like a Phil Wood for instance? My BB is making a clicking noise after about 1,500 miles. I've heard other users say similar things about their Record BBs going bad in a relatively short period of time. Thanks.

If the 10 uses a standard Campy square taper BB, than the Phil is one of your few alternatives, albeit a pricey unit. I have Mirage on my Bianchi, and I replaced my original BB after 15K miles. It was still okay, just grating in one spot, but i had the bike apart and it was only $28 to replace it. Maybe the lower end Campy BBs are stronger?

I'm guessing you have an AC-H BB on your Mirage group, right? I've got those on my other two bikes and I've been through several in the last couple of years. But, they're pretty cheap to replace (i.e. $28) so I don't mind that so much. Plus, these are my winter bikes and I subject them to a lot more cruddy weather than my Record bike.
I expected more from a Record BB, though. I'm not certain that it is a standard taper. I think I've read somewhere that the taper for the Record crankset is different. :(
How about using a Chorus BB ?

The 3 sealed bearings on the record BB are replaceable. I'd just replace them.
