I came across these at another estate sale and want to sell them. What's a good price for them? I also have a late 70's Schwinn that I want to sell. Also, are the Galaxies good bikes??
On the Galaxies:
Short answer: No. Cottered cranks, stem mounted shifters, turkey leg brake levers, gas pipe tubing frame, steel rims (no sure, but they look like it). All these combine to = low end generic bike.
They appear to be the basic low end boomer bike, some department store relabel.
Such generic bikes in fully tuned up, ready to ride condition go for around $75. Hard to tune them up for that.
If the rims are alloy, that would bring the price up a tad, but the steel cottered crank will keep it from going very high.
The other bike looks more like a Free Spirit or similar (Sears bike), not a Schwinn. But the pic is not that good, so I am not sure. If it is a Schwinn, it is similar in quality to the Galaxy, but the Schwinn name can get a little more in selling. On the other hand, the Schwinn looks to be in worse shape than the Galaxy.
Best bet is to sell them as is, and hope a flipper or a shade tree mechanic picks them up. As is, perhaps $100 to $150 for the three total. I wouldn't pay that for them, as there really is not an adequate up side once they are fixed up. But someone just looking for something to ride, they could buy them.

I saw those on Craigslist. When I first saw the silver bike I thought the front badge looked like a sears badge as well. I'd love to get the brakes on it for spares for my Raleigh, but I couldn't give that much for a bike just for the brakes. If I didn't already have so many projects I would come look at it. I'm not even going to tempt myself though. As for the Galaxy's, around here people don't seem to be too interested in old "no-name" low end bikes. If it doesn't say "Schwinn" or "Shimano", the average person doesn't think it's any good. I'm not sure what the market is around Wichita though. Good luck on selling them.
