Just thought I'd throw this out there cause I found what seems like a pretty sweet deal on the Omnium Track Crank with Cupset. $166 with shipping at Bikesonline.com.

No I don't work there or know anybody associated with them but just thought somebody looking for a decent set of cranks for a sweet price might like to know.

Just a hint - make sure you look for them under SRAM Omniums cause under TRUVATIV they're like $167 without the cupset plus ship.

So is there any difference in the Truvativ and Sram versions of the Omnium? I know Sram is the mother company of Truvativ.

But I have heard some people had complained about the connection between the axle and right crank that is permanent on some of the other GXP style track cranksets that Sram has made, and I want to make sure that that is not the case with the Sram branded Omnium.

Otherwise, what would be the reason for the price difference between the Sram and Truvativ other than possibly quality control and tolerancing.

I'm pretty sure they're the same.

I don't believe they are difference at all, as SRAM and Truvativ are essentially the same company (in that Truvativ is part of SRAM). I assume it is just misrepresentation by a website. My Omniums are "made" by Truvativ, but also say SRAM on them.

I just bought them on Monday and they shipped them out yesterday. I live in Hawaii so hopefully they come in the next few working days. Only problem is that I am still waiting on my frame so these will just collect dust until then :-/
