I ordered Joe Friels book but its too conceptual and doesn't provide any specific workouts..... does anyone know of a training book or other resource that explains how to make a training plan and provides you with specific workouts to do it...

I thought Ann Trombley's "Serious Mountain Biking" was very good. It includes more drills than Friel's book. I thought both were excellent. Amazon $20.

Stumbled upon this book just as things began to warm up. So, I haven't tried many of the work outs. It does have training plans for cyclist and triathletes. Plan to use it next indoor season (November - February for me).

Workouts in a Binder for Indoor Cycling (http://www.amazon.com/Workouts-Binder-Indoor-Cycling-Hobson/dp/1931382751/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1238161896&sr=8-1) by Wes Hobson and Dirk Friel

Has anyone used it?

One book with included training plans along with quite a few other workouts is "The Lance Armstrong Performance Program: 7 weeks to your perfect ride."
