What do you guys think this worth to an end user? It appears to have the original bars and levers?

I think its an '86 Limited:

$275 to $325, in ready to ride condition. You know the drill much better than me: Put the original bars back on and new bar tape, new cables, and tires (it has hybrid tires on it right now, save them for a later flip).

Nice frame, nice Shimano 600 indexed components, even the Mavic Rims I like.

That seat looks way out of place on that bike. It kind of looks like a hybrid seat (I guess that came with the flat bar conversion).

The more it looks like a road/racing bike, the higher the value. I would do an exorcism of all hybrid components! The great news with all that hybrid stuff, it would hold down the selling price quite a bit around here, making it a good acquisition.

Hard to break through the $300 mark around here unless it is a touring bike or a more modern brifter bike. But the buyer would be getting a nice score at that price level when you compare it to an entry level bike (SORA) at your favorite LBS ($800 or so).

Thanks,

Thats what I was thinking. When its all said and done I'd have another $30 into it on top of the cost of the bike.

I finaly secured the deal. $165 w/ the original bars plus another $30 for expences will put me at $195. Sometimes get nervous dropping $200 on flip bikes.....
