I will be spending the first week in April in Santa Monica, and I am looking for a place to rent a good road bicycle. Anybody have any good suggestions? I presently ride a Litespeed Ultimate, Palmares or a Blade, so I would prefer a titanium ride.
What about riding roads/routes, group rides, etc. Areas to avoid?
Any information is appreciated,
Carlos

Can't answer the question about rentals (but I could use that info as I have a friend who would like to know some good places for that), but I will say that making it out to Glendora Mountain Road (and on to Glendora Ridge Road to Mt Baldy) is an incredibly scenic ride if you like climbing. Also, Angeles Crest I believe has been recommended. And CA-39 is a scenic, but straight up ride north of Azusa (and closed off to cars at about mile marker 10).

Pics of Glendora Mountain Road (first 3 are of Palos Verdes area..also has nice riding):
