Been riding my friends fixie for about a month now and I'm looking into getting my own. I found someone who was selling a fixed gear that I'm interested in except for the fact that it has a sloping top tube. I was just wondering if there were any dramatic changes in performance due to the sloping TT.

wat
bigger pics or link to the ad? that thing looks like a mess. i don't think giant has been making compact geo for the longest time, so either that bike has vertical dropouts or is really cheap and has horizontal dropouts (like on walmart bikes).
the gearing doesn't look suitable for road use, more like mountain bikes (looks pretty low).
how much does the guy want?

wow, I know he probably priced it high because he expects people to offer less, but 200 is ridiculous for that. I wouldn't pay more than maybe 80 (basically just for the wheels and tires if it's built up on a track hub and isn't a suicide job).
LA seems to be a pretty hot bike market, but I wouldn't get it. save up for a ssr or clockwork from bikesdirect

It looks to be a Giant Cypress frame. These come as a budget-hybrid style bike. It's not a road bike by any means. Do more research before buying something. You obviously don't really know what you're looking at.
