Electronics, Lighting, & Gadgets - PBSF mounting on seat stay?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Already have a PBSF mounted on my seat post. Wanted to add one to a seat stay, but having trouble on my Madone 4.5. The cross-section of the stay is rectangular, not round. Neither of the included brackets will work.
I thought about using the seatpost bracket and using something as a filler (like rubber tubing). Anyone tried this? If so, what did you use as a filler? Is there a different (better) solution?
Thanks!

I've done it. Used the rubber bits that came with the mount and tightened it down. The plastic will form around the odd shaped stays.
use more than one rubber shim, use scissors for the thinner shim.
So, sounds like use the large diameter bracket and shim? The small bracket designed for this use appears to be 'way too small.
if the small one doesn't fit with no shims, then I suppose that's the only way.

It was. I used a piece of fuel line hose slit lengthwise plus the shims that came with the unit. Works like a charm!
I now have one on the seat post and one on the stay. Anlges are slightly offset to give better coverage back there.
