just about to finish my winter build installed 103 mm bottom bracket as specs require for steam roller (surly) installed all city single speed cranks 170mm im waiting on fsa 50 tooth chain wheel the drive side spider looks allfully close for it to fit surlys frame spec sheet i got with my frame says track crank compatible up to and including a 50 tooth chainring does anyone know if this works or if their is a way to make it work without screwing up the chainline or my frame

dude seriously.

we can't help if we can't understand you.

i spent a few minutes and you don't understand how cranks work. 103 is for the stock cranks. if you don't have the stock cranks then that changes.

Typically, BB spindle length coordinates with the type of trank you buy. Actually, not typically, ALWAYS. Look up what type of BB spindle the All City requires. As for chainring size and chainstay clearance, you're probably alright.

No, the spindle length (103,107,111, w/e) is only used to determine chainline/compatability with cranks. The only measurement that matters as far as the BB actually fitting into the frame is the threading and shell width. 70mm is Italian, 68mm is English. I am guessing yours is 68mm, but I'm not sure. Should be easy to look up.

Time for a new BB dude! The All City's require a 110mm spindle length so you need to get a 68x110 BB.
