Foo - FOO or Facebook?

My wife became a member of Facebook a few weeks ago. She keeps telling me about all the people who have been adding her as a friend. She things I should become a member. But I don't want to, I already have enough things that distract me from my paying positions. Plus, I don't want to become addicted like Path (http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=521331), Lord knows i already have enough addictions, such as Foo. I think Foo is a far better addiction than facebook.

So I ask, what is your preferable addiction, Foo, facebook, or something else?

I must use Facebook differently than you do. It's not a 'networking' site for me. It's a place where I can see what's up with friends and family in a passive way and they can do the same with whatever I post out there. It's more about keepiing in touch and aware than about 'networking' for me. If I don't know you, you aren't in my Facebook. It's pretty level and non-egotistical because we all know each other. That's just my way of using it.
