I just ordered my first single speed in about 20 years and it will not have quick release skewers/hubs as I've grown used to. That's cool. But, then I thought about fixing flats on the trail and wasn't sure what type of wrench to use. I know (if I remember correctly from my BMX days) that it should be a 9/16th, but I can't imagine lugging around a couple of box wrenches in my Camelback. I checked Nashbar and didn't see a wheel-specific wrench for this purpose. What do you guys use/recommend?

Surly's Jethro Tule. Track nut wrench on one end, bottle opener on the other; you're all set.

Nice, yes, I see.... Will I need 2? One on each side? Or, will the opposite nut stay put as I loosen the other? Thanks.

One will stay put while you tighten the other.

I've thought about getting a cool SS 15mm wrench, but the 6" adjustable wrench I found in the road works well, so I'd rather spend the money on beer. :)

i cut a craftsman 15mm and ground it down to a nice comfortable carry item, love it.

I just got the "GearWrench 15mm Full Polish Stubby Ratcheting Combination Wrench" from Sears for $15. It's a great size, ratchets, and as a bonus I can use the open end on my pedals.
