.... there is a bent bike for auctin here in hungary. the current price is quite nice.

check out the attached picture and let me know what you think.... based on this pic. would you suggest this bike for a first time benter?

The owner says riders should be min. 180 cm tall.... I am about 5 cm short of that... wonder if that would be a problem.

I am, BTW, trying to contact him about the bike..... to get more info...

ps, i have tried one bent, once! and loved it... it was USS, which I prefer as far as aesthetics go over OSS, but hey, at this price i am not going to be that picky.

It is a homebuilt recumbent using a Dutch kit. It would probably make a good starting bent if you could get it at a reasonably cheap price.

The cranks are attached to a bracket that slides along the boom. Unless that bracket has been welded to the frame you should be able to shorten the seat to pedal distance. If you did that you may suffer heel or pedal strike on the front wheel at low speeds if you turn the front wheel sharply.

I suspect that with the undamped metal spring suspension it will pogo when pedaling and may bounce over bumps.

You will need to find out how worn the components are as well.
