Hiya,

I couldn't find exactly what I'm experiencing so I thought I'd post a new thread since I'm new to fixed gears and need exact input.

I received my Angus two weeks ago (awesome bike!). The headset (Chris King and threaded stem) had already been installed and wasn't loose so I thought nothing of it. Last week, the headset was really loose and wobbly so I tightened it with a spanner wrench -to the point where the handle bars wouldn't turn if I picked up the front, but wasn't stiff, either. Just now, after a few rides, the wobble has returned! Is this normal? I am riding the rough Manhattan roads, so could that be the cause?

Thank you all for viewing.

you want to tighten the adjustment nut (the lower one) till its just tight enought that there is no play, or wobble. then tighten down the locknut (the upper one) while holding the adjustment in place.

Thanks for the input, Time! So far, it's been solid.

it would be a good idea to pick up two 32mm headset wrenches.
