Have any of you guys had problems finding cycling shorts where the chamois doesn't come up front so far? I notice that the chamois is almost centered front-to-back. Shouldn't most of it be towards the back?

Most of the ones I have tried have the chamois placed so that whne I ride, about a third of to isn't between me and the saddle, but wrapping up in front like I'm wearing a cup or something. Needless to say, it doen't leave enough room for "boys"... Why does the chamois come so far forward?

What I've had to do is to to actually cut the stiching that secures the chamois and cut away the front third and sew the cut end into the shorts. It seems to work fine because now the chamois ends about an inch or two beyond the front of the saddle. I just wish I didn't have to do it for all of them (I've done it for 3).

Has anyone else had this problem? (No, I don't have thme on backwards for you funny guys out there...)

What shorts have you found have the chamois placed more towards the back?

Thanks,

Warren

You may have bought womens shorts. They come up higher in the front

No, I'm pretty sure they are all men's shorts... That occured to me as well... But I've bought shorts at different times and they are all like this. At least the ones I've bought...

But just to be sure, I'll compare the women's version of the same men's shorts just to confirm...

I have noticed this as well and my guess is it has to do with "modesty." Like we who wear skin-tight lycra are concerned with that anyway! :D But my theory is that, by having the chamois come up higher in front, it covers up a bit more of what might otherwise show...

Maybe, could be.

Are you wearing it backwards?

BTW, my new gel shorts bunch up so much, my bulge is HUGE :) :) :)
