Just purchased my first road bike, a Bianchi Via Nirone with a 105 grouping. I am so excited! It is supposed to get to 40 degrees F so hopefully I can get out today. I just keep staring at it...

After getting a real fitting, I have found that have insanely long arms, who knew? I feel like I should check my knuckles to make sure they are not dragging on the ground!:)
Thanks for all the comments, I feel like a proud pappa again!

nice bike, congrats.
i feel for you dude, i had used to use a 150 tioga t-bone back in the day and was thinking about a custom 170 made.
have a good ride today
oh, btw, perchance, could you pm me your size and weight, as im a little curious how those gossamer wheels youre rolling are going to treat you? im 240lbs and have had ZERO problems, with the 18/20 spoke spiderwebs that are on the market these days, but im also surprisingly gentle on wheels...for a bigger guy.

Man, I love me a Bianchi. For my next SS purchase, I'd love to build up a Pista frame:love:
Sweet bike!

Tom is trying to trick you. You do not need to send your bike to him for disposal. That is silly. You need to send it to me for a proper inspection and break in. I can have it back to you somewhere around fall time. Unless I find some major problems. In which case I will keep it as long as I have to, free of charge because your'e a BF member of course...

Profuse salivation has just shorted out my monitor. It is of course your fault. I'm willing to let bygones be bygones though if you'll just pack the bike up and send it to me. The sooner the better. Thanks in advance.

I'm not a big fan of the celeste green, but if I bought a Bianchi the C2C is the one for me. It's isn't meant to be stared at. Bundle up and ride.
I see that even after all these years Bianchi green is still as instantly identifiable (and beautiful) as ever! (I remember seeing Bianchi green way way back in the late 80s/early 90s when I first started ogling nice bikes)

That is one sweet looking bike. I can not wait to hear a report from you how you like riding it. I have to say, I have always liked the color of green and it was a shocker when Bianchi started using other colors. Way back when, I only ever had seen Bianchi's in that beautiful green. It made them stand out so much...

Any other color just seems wrong on a Bianchi.
Nice bike

Celeste is a color that can only belong on a Bianchi. I've loved it from the moment I first saw it.
Awesome new ride, hopefully yuor weather cooperates for some nice miles.
Very nice. :thumb:
Tell us about your ride.
FWIW Really long stem. Is that a 130 or more? Maybe you should have looked at going up a frame size...:innocent:

Wow, what a bike. I have a lot to learn.
It felt like going from a dump truck to a Ferrari. My skills definitely need to evolve, my shifting really needs to get better. I think I am thinking to much about cadence and not being a masher that I am not foreseeing when to shift.
I did about 20 miles yesterday which is decent amount for me (second ride of the year) and it tackles hills so much better than my old hybrid. I still got dropped like a hot potato by some guy on an old rusty Trek. So, the Celste did not make me magically faster or in better shape but it was a great ride!

Very nice ride!
Glad you enjoyed it. It'll take a few rides to get comfortable with the bike. Then you can focus on catching the rusty Trek. :thumb:

I wish a dealer here in Montana sold Bianchi. Sort of wanted a Pista flat-bar. Great looking ride!
