Between 1990 and 1992, I'd guess.
The very late '89 models and early '90 models were chrome-moly lugged frames,
sometimes with the same paint schemes as the Ironman bikes, re-labeled as Master and Expert.
These were basically Lemans and Lemans RS frames, from what I can tell.
The were labeled both Centurion (top tube) and Diamondback (down tube) and had an Avenir saddle plus decal on the top tube as well.
The main 1990 offerings went to Master TG and Expert TG, the frames went from lugged to TIG welded and were heavier.
There was no indication of Centurion anywhere on the bike, and the frame was size-labeled in inches.

The Master offered 105 and was the higher level of the two, from what I can tell, with the Expert offering RSX/Exage.
I've seen some with down tube shifting and some with STI's, so I can't determine what went on, there.

I've only seen Matrix wheels on them, and only freewheels with 7 speeds, so I'm pretty sure the Mavics were an upgrade by an owner.

eBay has sold some in the mid-$200 range, and I sold an Expert with RSX STI's for $250 locally. Somehow, it's STI's were set for 6 speeds, but to this day I have no idea if some guru did it or not. The freewheel on the bike was 6-speed. I saw one with Alex wheels, but there's no way to determine where they came from.

Thank you very much for the information.... it seems to ride well. It does say cromo but nothing about centurian or avenir.
Thanks again.... you folks on the forum sure know your stuff.

Nice find. I was going to buy one of these off ebay awhile back(I think it went for $120), but the shipping was absolutely outrageous so I let it go(It was like $150). I'm guessing someone picked it up locally. I like the Avenir equipped diamondbacks better, but these are good looking bikes too.
