Southern California - Grrly,Gina, TomBunn and Beaner on GMR Sat 3/28

Really cool, TBunn showed up at the start to join us with the intentions of bettering his PR on GMR. He sure did, was rough but he did it. Caught a glimpse of a few other studs up there. Ron (pinoybentrider), Jason, Jose and friend from RiverVelo training for Mulholland, and a couple of other guys I wasn't sure of. I may have met them but maybe they knew were were planning to be there and ID'd us!:D

Gina really struggled, hasn't developed a taste for climbing. Not sure she ever will!:D.. And Grrlyrida proved to be way to strong for her. But Grrly was cool and held back for us! Man the girl climbs consistently with a smile and some good conversation, great attitude!

Gina sort of pooped out on us so we didn't make the village. We sat her down a the shack and headed on up GRR so that I could give Grrly a taste of GRR. No problem, she continued on without breaking a sweat. The village will be no match for her!

It was fun. Got Justme's pm a lil late so I had no idea he wouldn't show. Up late hunh? Better stop watching them movies Mister!:p..Cool though, Gina would have held you back anyways! I need to whip her into climbing form!

OH darn! I knew I was forgetting someone. TBrown, saw him at the beginning of the ride racing up the trail. Tried to get a pic then realized my batteries were dead. Had to do a roadside switch to fresh batteries maneuver.

I knew you're up GMR today but never expected to meet you there that time coming from Encanto. Hey Gina, reaching the shack also was my goal today, good job.

It was so beautiful out yesterday! I didn't go anywhere near the San Gabriels, but I was there in spirit.

Sorry for the last minute bailout Beanz. I probably should have just posted to the thread, rather than PM, but I kept saying, I'll get another hour of sleep yet. Thanks Mr. Beanz for leading such a fun gmr ride. It was nice to meet Tbunn and finally meet Gina. I felt like I was meeting a celebrity, since I've seen her so much on the forum throughout the years.

KiddSisko my bike is a 2006 Trek 2200 ultegra and 105. They don't make it anymore, but I bet you can find it on the web, ebay or craigslist.

That was me (yellow vest) on my decent (you were still climbing/stopped turning around talking to?)that gave you a shout out (just before/during those freeking MC's buzzed by at 110 mph!!). Saw Gina about 1/4mile ahead:> of you (what's this about her not having a taste for climbing:>).
