Cyclocross - brake lever that matches sti brifter for 1x9 setup?

I recently picked up a cross-check that's setup as 1x9. Right now, it has two 105 brifters (ST-5510). I'd like to replace the left brifter with a straight up brake lever, as I'd like to be rid of the side-play and the knobbie that the shift cable normally attaches to.

Does anyone know of a straight brake lever that matches the sti brifters? I'd prefer that they both look the same (my brifters have black levers), but most importantly I want the hoods to feel the same.

Thoughts?

From the setups I've seen, nope. I run a 1x9 setup with the STI on the left. Never had a problem with it.

Nothing will match that huge protuberance, but the Tektro lever is close enough for jazz, and they come in silver or black to match.

I ran an old shimano 600 aero lever and was never really happy with the way it felt, but I dealt with it for the season. Also tried the tektro lever and was also underwhelmed. Neither felt balanced when I was riding. I wish the tektro or someone like them would build a lever that matches a STI.

Maybe just dremel down the nub and open the brifter and figure out how to immobilize the lateral action. Probably just need to find the pivot point and jam it.

Why not just leave it in case you ever want to add a second chainring up front?

I wanted it gone for functional reasons (play in the brake lever & the protruding piece of plastic for the derailleur cable that gnarled my hand on the last ride). I also wanted the same hood style because I like the feel of riding on top of sti brifters.
