Today was a freakishly warm 13C so I hopped on the bike for the second ride of the season. I did 27 km a couple of weeks ago. Today I did 40 km and hammered on a few very small hills. It will be another two or three weeks before we start having consistently good riding weather, so we have grab the good days when they come. It will be May before I'm in good cycling shape again.

This is a lock in Ste Anne de Bellevue on the western tip of Montreal Island.

It's a lot like the stuff we've been playing in all winter:

And the stuff that clogged the bike path two weeks ago on my first ride. I had to walk across that stuff and it formed lovely blocks of ice in my cleats which I had to chip out with a multi-tool:
