do most people go for black spokes these days?

Funny, on my road bike I'd be concerned about this. On my MTBs, I really don't care. As an example, my Rockhopper has black on the front and silver on the rear, cause I acquired the Mavic 517s from different sources. I was riding on them for a month before I noticed.

Black, especially with disk rims! They look great on my orange Niner!

Black hubs, spokes, rims, tires, I wish the nipples were black.

i'd say black is more common these days, Imo it looks better 99% of the time

my all black bike currently has one rim thats rim brake compatable until i relace the hub for my new set, and it looks kinda cool with the one random shiney silver ring, kinda like those rice cars with the black rims that are silver at just the edge

I wanted to do red spoke nips on the wheel build i'm doing right now but i'd have to use dt's prolock hex cause I need a longer nipple (mavic 819) so it would be more money then i can justify for color :(
