Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Your thoughts on these bars.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Just like the title says. Just wondering if people would indulge me with their thoughts on style and what not. I happen to like them and I am thinking about bidding on these. I really dig the look of them.

Spotted those too. They'd look pretty on a rebuild. And they would totally raise the value of any Thylacine frame (the value of the bike after adding the frame would be whatever you paid for just the bars).

All in all, cool looking, I'd never use them. Unique as all hell
Well I love mousatche bars alot and these just have that flowing look of those. I would love to build a slightly newer steel bike around these. But I am broke and already have a bike.

What if a track bar made love to a moustache bar? Ah, I see...

Well...then I'd recomend cleaning your bars before your next ride. :D

Do they come with enough brillo pads to remove all that surface rust? I hope they are cheap. Shape is cool though.

Let this be a warning to you all, children. Don't let 165 sit on your bars.

Don't mean to be the party kill but I think they look like they should be on the ends of blender beaters instead of a bicycle stem. :(

I think they are cool as ****.
Not my cup of tea but I would give the thumbs up to anyone with enough balls to ride them!!!

I LOVE the shape of them. I think they're too far gone to really use though. What I think you should do with them is buy them and send them to someone with the equipment to bend up a new set with exactly that shape. Then tell me who that person is so I can get a set too.
Maybe Thylacine will indulge us? In fact, these bars should come standard with the new curved top tube fixed bike that I KNOW he's drawing up as I type this. So sexy, so right.
I think they rock.
Thats kind of what I was thinking about doing. I have a pretty good in at IF and would just need to have a talk with a friend of mine.

They'd be hot inverted. And get one of those weird rotating knobs they got for buses....
Hot.

they would definately make some cool bars for my coaster-brake "bar-bike." i think id run them inverted on that bike though. definately like em.
a little steel wool will take that rust right off. if it doesnt come off easily enough with straight steel wool, try spraying some WD-40 on, then steel wool em some more.
