Hi all,

My wife has been looking for a bike for some exercise and enjoyment. Shopping around and finally settled with one from Dick's Sporting Goods. The bike is branded "Quest", model "Vector", color white. She tried on it and it is in good size for her. I also test ride on it and seems it is in reasonable quality. The original price was $280, but on sale at $130. Probably an old model.

Then I google a bit, and cannot find any information of this brand. Does anyone know about this brand? Of course at this price I am not looking for a great bike, but at least I want to be sure it is from a reputable manufacturer and it is safe to ride on it. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks a lot for your help.

wil.

A friend had one, and it fell apart rather quickly. Low end componetry. The bike will not last long if it's taken to the trails often. Arround town, If you treat it like a baby, it will be ok. Clean, tune, and lube it often and she'll last awhile.

Possibly the lowest of the low end big box bikes. Best used for mortar range targets.

I do not know this for sure, but I just bought my daughter a 16" Quest from WM and it looks exactly like the huffy I bought my son. maybe they're just like the Ford/Mercury vehicles.......well probably more along the lines of Chevy/Geo........
