It appears to have top notch parts on it. It's really hard to say whether it's a good deal. You already know that you like the design, it has good parts, and you don't seem to mind paying a little over 1000 for it...Sounds good to me.

Hi, I don't know too much about the Y bikes. I've never even ridden one of those new-fangled full suspension bikes. Oh well, Here's some reviews from people that actually own these bikes.

the Y-50 aka Y-five-oh (book em, Dano!) Was Treks top of the line MTB, a "custom" version of the team bike. The only ones I have seen were a blue and red custom paint scheme.

As long as it fits and is in good shape, you did very well.
