Introductions - Unemployed with a bike!...

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hello and good morning, I am glad to have found this site. I am currently in "between-jobs" (I think that's the PC way of saying unemployed and broke) and with the late spring and upcoming summer here in sunny SF Bay Area, I plan to get back on my bike and do some riding.
I have a Trek 2100 that's about 6 years old. I am thinking I'll buy a nice frame, like a colnago or pinarelli and build up a bike. Kinda a home project to keep me busy. Tips or links to a thread on building a bike up from the frame is appreciate.
c'ya.

The proper term is "currently self-unemployed." Welcome, I spent a bunch of time here when I was self-unemployed for a pro-longed duration... enjoy the forums! As for tips on building up a frame... uh, just type in the parts you're working on into the search and see what comes up... both for recommendations on parts and for installation... or pose a new question... have fun.

What a coincidence! I'm in the same "unemployment" boat as you are. No money, but I am a lot fitter this year. I guess all those folks I see along Foothill and riding the Loop during the day are also "between jobs".
