I've got a brass Silca head, the "bell shape," that I put on a Blackburn pump when the pump head wore out. Works great, but now it needs a new washer.

My LBS doesn't have the washers. I'm hoping Ace Hardware does ... but I need to know the correct size (I could use the original to size it, but it is now badly worn).

Does anyone know the size of the washer -- the outside and inside diameters?

Obscure question, I know ... this will put BF to the test.

Have your bike shop order you some. They are not a plumbing sized washer. Roger

It's not a standard faucet washer. The OD is 0.803" and the valve hole is 0.158" initially (it gets bigger with use). The edge thickness is 0.162" but there is a raised circular "platform" 0.592" diameter and a conical projection in the center around the valve hole. Lowes or Home Depot aren't going to have these things and probably not a suitable substitute.

Most of the better mailorder/internet bike shops have them and here is one source:

That didn't take long -- 20 minutes!

Thanks for the info.

I'll get the shop to ship some in.
