I'm looking to get this:
http://www.profile-design.com/products/accessories/aerobridge/
for this:
http://www.profile-design.com/products/aerobars/carbon-x-15/

i know there have been issues with profile design bars being less than universal.
i would expect there to be no issues within the same product line (kinda), but i figured i'd make sure first.

anyone used the profile design bridge with the carbon x 1.5?
another brand?
i have the syntace fibre bridge; no go. like .3 mm to big to fit into the extensions.

thanks...

there may not be any interest here, but i figured i'd post what i found for the search engines.
before i start, though, for those of you not using the profile design carbon x 1.5 bar with barend shifters (a minority i'm sure, but just in case), the bridge offers a remarkably functional hand position; it provides what appears to be more efficient leverage for a quick out of saddle sprint while in the aerobars (pulling straight on instead of rocking). i use the syntace bridge on a training bike and love it.

anyway, the official word from profile:

I currently use the Carbon X 1.5 barset. My training bike has Syntace
aero bars w/ the Syntace bridge. I really like the hand position this
provides, and was looking to achieve the same with my X 1.5 bars.
Is the Profile Design Aerobridge compatible with the Carbon X 1.5
barset? I'm aware that if the plugs fit i'd have to rotate the
extensions (which is OK as i actually prefer that hand position), but
i'm wondering if the plug diameter on the Aerobridge will fit the
extensions.

Thanks

The Aerobridge should work with the extensions on the Carbon X 1.5 as
the inner diameter of our aerobar extensions are about the same. The
only question is the width. I would recommend taking the aerobar in and
see if a bike shop will allow you to try it on the bar before you buy it
just to make sure it works.

Fantastic, thanks.
Do you happen to know the "center to center" width of the Aerobridge's plugs?
Like i said previously, i already assumed i'd have to rotate the extensions "inward" which appears to be a viable solution thanks to the "s" bend of the extensions on the carbon x 1.5.
Knowing the center-to-center measurement of the bridge would allow me to confirm that (but i'd definitely visit a shop prior to purchase just to double check).

The center-to-center measurement of where the bolts are is 75-80 mm

looks like a go so far. going to buy them this week and post my findings.
