im soo unsure of what im gonna do about a second battery? Could i just buy 2- 12v batteries and just wire them in series and hook them up to the other battery terminal - is there something else that i need to do like get a BMS or hook up a fuse to it? A BMS (battery management system) is necessary to get the performance and reliability you'd expect from any kind of lithium e-bike battery. Lead Acid batteries don't need a BMS, ever, but a fuse is a good idea if there's no fuse/circuit breaker built in to your system.
