I couldn't find HALT anywhere. How does this compare to it ?

It says 17 Oleoresin Capsicum. I guess it's that. That would make it a hell of a lot more powerful wouldn't it ?

OMG ! Those dogs are gonna learn quickly ! :D

I actually hope I never get in a situation where I have to use it. I'll just have it in case of a serious threat. My first instinct will be to ride away fast. If that doesn't work, and it's a viscious dog, we use the 17%.....

Still - you want to close one eye real tight and hold your breath. This way you will have one eye that works hopefully. If it blows back on your skin, even a mist, you have about 10 minutes before you "catch fire" depending on outside temperature. DO NOT RUB the stuff or try to wipe it off. You will just rub in IN! Get to a shower ASAP and rinse, rinse, rinse with cold water! You might have to stand under the stream of water for an hour or more.

10 minutes? then it must be sugar water!!! Police cannot afford to wait that long for anything to take affect. However, you are correct about not trying to rub it off.... a cold flowing stream of water is your best bet to remove mace or pepper spray.

I said 10 minutes for the mist (meaning the stuff outside the main stream of spray - i.e., overspray in painter's lingo). Even the mist getting in your eyes will slam your eyes shut - that's why I recommend keeping one eye closed tightly before you release the spray. That way you will have one eye that works if the mist drifts back onto you. You better be holding your breath too.

Crooks generally know this too. You aim the spray, they close their eyes and hold their breath. Maybe cover their face too. At any rate, they stop being aggressive and assume a more defensive posture. In two instances I have just shown my OC-10 to troublemakers and they went elsewhere. Never sprayed anyone yet, but after 15 years, I still carry a can clipped to my pocket daily.
