Does anyone know for 100% sure if the frame on a Fastback Pro is identical, i.e. same tubing and construction, as the Fastback Comp? The Schwinn site says something about "N'Litened Platinum super butted aluminum..." for the Pro, but the Comp just says "N'Litened".
I have had it told me they are the same. I have been looking for a Pro in XL size, but have not found one available. The LBS says they can build me a Comp up with better stuff, Ultegra, STI shifters, and some Shimano rims for about the same price as the Pro.
I also wonder about the sizing. I am 5'10" with a 34" inseam and was told I needed the XL by LBS. But wondered if the L in Schwinn sizing would be more appropriate.

OK, no response on that, but i did find out the frames are not the same.
Now, does anyone here have a Fastback Pro in a L frame size? If so, do you know the frame size equivalent for a center to top measurement, i.e. 58cm etc. I can find all dimensions listed, but that for comparison to other bikes of similar size. or, if not then the same in an XL frame.
thanks

are you aware that schwinn's quality has decreased so much over the past year?

Have you considered other brands besides schwinn? check out trek, specialized, fuji, giant... I'm sure they have something you will like...
