I got called out of town on business and will be driving to the Columbus area, Dublin actuallyin the morning. I'm going to have to put in some long hours but will be done at 7pm each night. I've got an itch to bring the bike along as it might be a way to kill some time in the evenings. Sun sets later than here in Chicago so I think I would still have some daylight left.
Are there some worthwhile places to ride on the west side of town? I have to leave in the morning so if anyone can help me make my decision tonight it would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Dublin to Plain City is a pretty fun trip with the back roads having minimal traffic. Depending on where you are starting in Dublin, there are many good places west.
You can also do the traditional "Hilliard Rails-To-Trails" (starting in downtown-Hilliard) and head on over to Dutch Kitchen or Der Dutchman for a bite or a danish.
Sunsets around here are ~ 8:40 PM so you can get a pretty good ride.

If you have a free day on the weekend or something, head out east towards Athens and the Hocking Hills. Those back roads are some of the prettiest riding (or driving, for that matter) you'll find anywhere.
But really, the best riding option if you want a good challenge is to ride through campus and make fun of OSU football. Wear a Michigan jersey if you want some pace-setters (read: murderous fans).
