Road Cycling - Well I did it!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I just put $500 down on my first road bike (of what I hope will be many more in the future)! I decided on the Trek 2300. I took a test ride this afternoon, and I couldn't believe how much different it was from my 7500FX! I felt like I was flying! The drop-down handlebars are great, and the damn thing just zips right off when you start pedaling! I have $1500 more to pay it off, so I'm open to donations!! :D
Good for you! Nothing like getting a shiny new toy. I still grin every time I look at my ride!

That's great, congrats! I've tested the 2200 and thought it rode pretty smooth. What other bikes did you try?

Rock on. Skinny tires = win, no matter what the MTB crowd says.
