Hey there!
So I've boght a pair of those with a 8 spd cassette.. problem is I found a good 9 speed chorus equipped
bike on ebay italy and got it. So, is there any "cheap" way to get a 9 speed cassette on the Vento? I know about the Corima freewheel but its quite pricey at around $100 for just the freewheel hub + another cassette.
Thanks for any help!
Hopefully, you got my PM. About the price issue, remember while the cassette hub swap will set you back maybe a $100 swapping hubs is even more expensive. First, you'll probably need a hub, new spokes and nipples plus labor if you can't rebuild your own wheels. Vento's don't have 32 holes like regular Campy hubs. So, you'll have add a new rim that won't match the front rim. Which means a whole new rear wheel. It's way cheaper to add the cassette hub body when you start crunching the numbers. Good luck

You probably got me wrong.. I never even wanted to change the whole hub!
Just the freehub cassette as you said. But the only thing that I need to know is if the veloce ones you named in the PM fit my Vento! Could you tell that by just seeing the thread pattern of the hub?
Thank you!

Thanks Bob! But unfortunately it doesn't mention anything about freehub compatibility.
On another forum I was told to respace the 8 spd freehub with 8 9er spacers and 9 Cogs.. again has anybody tried this ever?

Not exactly, but it does tell you how you may be able to put 9s cogs on your 8s hub
