The trails are again experiencing some intermittent closure due to Tollroad (I-88) bridge construction in North Aurora.
There is no posted detour, but one exists.
At the north end, 1/2 block from the bridge is a street. Take it up the hill to Lincolnway (IL Rt 31) and go south to the old Holiday Inn (Alden Care), just south of the Tollroad. Go around the buildings, and look for the white fencepost down by the trail. There is your opening back to the trail.
From the south, just before the Tollroad bridge, is an opening just about in the middle of the old Holiday Inn (Alden Care). It's about 6' - 8' wide, and clear. It's not marked on the trail side, but it is the only clear opening thru the scrub bushes along here. Easy to see.
I keep it that way, as I pass thru there frequently.
Other than that, they are all open.
