Just wondering what people use as a quick snack when they're hungry - particularly before training and rides.

I usually have a banana, but they become less fulfilling (psychologically anyway) as I have them more often. I need to vary it with something different. Sandwiches are usually too filling, and too much work for digestion unless more than 45 mins before.

Got a favourite quick snack?

chewy lollies. I buy cheaps ones with the highest glucose content.
It's probably not the best thing to be having, but they're only about $1.00 for 8 ounces; much cheaper than the fancy gel packs and other fancy stuff.

Ill eat a bagel. Usually just plain, im not to picky about what I eat.

Or if I don't want the bagel ill eat some chips or a banana.

poptarts work for me, and make a mean addition to my jersey pocket...shoot, I almost survived my first Chicago to Milkwaukee ride on pop tarts!!!

LOL I think that to myself all the time, (about the people going crazy to avoid carbs). Actually it makes me happy, b/c at work, all the women in my office are all about the latest diet craze and just figure if they just change what they eat, they will miraculously loose weight with out exercise. Where as I peddle my butt off all week, and eat all the foods they are not allowed to on their "diets" *evil grin*
