Training & Nutrition - Minimum jogging to get stronger bones?

I understand that cycling does nothing to prevent strengthen bone/prevent osteoporosis. So I have added a minimum amount of jogging to my weekly routine. The problem is I find it incredibly boring ( even while listening to interesting podcasts ). What is the least amount of jogging I need to do to get a decent benefit?
Kind of looking for the 80/20 rule. Does jogging 1 mile each time cut it? In other words do people who jog 5 miles per week have 5 times stronger bones than the 1 mile/week jogger?

I asked this question of the cyclingnews form & fitness staff a while back; as I recall the answer was "surprisingly little".
Here you go, found it:
"Adding another component to your training regimen may seem too time consuming. But, if you think about it, it takes less than 5 minutes to do 100 jumps. I am pretty sure that all of us can spare 15 minutes per week if it will reduce our chances of developing osteoporosis."

I asked this question of the cyclingnews form & fitness staff a while back; as I recall the answer was "surprisingly little".It's not likely that anyone can measure effectively what or how much activity can forestall osteoporosis or otherwise strengthen bones. What ever you think, you misunderstand the nature of bones and how exercise might affect their health.
Study research doesn't predict anything for any single individual. You can act, or conduct your life as if you are an "average" person and go ahead and assume what you think - is what works.
However, bone health, and the facts surrounding how aging effects bone tissues are not clearly understood. Research information ordinarily touts itself as "valuable" so as to justify its costs.
Whether or not some behavior affects one's health positively just because the statistics in a study support the general contention that an activity has benefits is specious.
Sure get out and jog, and say five hail marys - either one or both activities may produce benefits.
