I found a GT I-Drive 4 5.0, its a 2006 brand new bike in my size for $500, I will be using this on XC rides as well as running errands in town, to me it seems like a pretty good deal but don't know about the quality of the shocks and components, any advise is appreciated.

If it's your size...killer deal! Every component is mid-level and the I-Drives are well loved by fully riders. Even the front shock is decent and better than entry level. I really don't see a weak link on anything..ride it and when it's time to upgrade, do it...rock solid frame too.
